Deployment questions

Which deployment method should I use?

Use Ubuntu / Debian for the easiest .deb installation on Debian or Ubuntu. Use Docker for a Docker Compose-based deployment. Use the Linux tarball for a full bare-metal installation from the release bundle.

What do I need to run TeamGlimpse?

Ubuntu / Debian needs Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or newer, 2 GB RAM minimum, 20 GB disk, and root or sudo access. Docker needs Docker Engine 24+ and Docker Compose v2. The Linux tarball needs a Linux host with root or sudo access.

Do I need to install PostgreSQL and nginx first?

Not for the Ubuntu / Debian quick installer: it installs nginx and PostgreSQL as dependencies. The Linux tarball installer also installs them if they are missing. Docker requires Docker Engine and Docker Compose.

Can I inspect the installer before running it?

Yes. The installation scripts can be inspected before you run them. See the Deployment Guide for details.
