Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

Summary

  • The TeamGlimpse product is self-hosted. The data it processes stays on infrastructure you control, and we never receive it.
  • This website uses analytics and marketing cookies only if you allow them. You can change your choice at any time in .
  • We do not sell personal data, and the website does not require an account.

Self-hosted by design

TeamGlimpse is self-hosted software. You deploy and run it entirely on your own infrastructure. All data it processes — activity records, teammate profiles, AI-generated summaries, and configuration — is stored in databases you control. We do not receive, store, or have access to any of the data your TeamGlimpse instance collects about your organization or its members.

The organization that operates a TeamGlimpse instance decides what that instance processes and why. It is responsible for that data, including informing the people whose activity is summarized. Questions about a specific deployment should go to the organization running it.

What your deployment sends to third parties

Your instance contacts only the external services you configure:

  • Data sources (GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Salesforce) — read-only API calls using the credentials you provide. TeamGlimpse never writes to these systems.
  • LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or a self-hosted model) — activity data is sent only when a summary or analysis is requested, and only to the provider you configure. If you use a hosted provider, review its data-handling terms.
  • Email server — if you configure SMTP, your instance sends notification and summary emails through the mail server you choose.

You decide what data is collected, how long it is retained, and which external services it is shared with.

This website

The rest of this policy covers teamglimpse.com: the website itself, its contact form, and the public demo. Website data is entirely separate from the data processed by your self-hosted TeamGlimpse deployment.

Hosting and security

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, delivering a page means Cloudflare processes technical data about each request: your IP address, browser and device details, the page requested, and the time. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site's request logs may include this data, and they are kept for a few days for troubleshooting.

The contact form and the demo page use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated bots. Turnstile runs a check in your browser that uses browser and device signals. It runs only on those two pages.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Analytics and marketing

We use the following services to understand how visitors find and use the website, and to measure our marketing. They may process the pages you visit, your interactions, how you arrived, your approximate location, IP address, timestamps, and browser or device details.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google) — usage statistics. Runs only if you allow Analytics cookies. Google keeps this data for at most 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn) — measures LinkedIn campaigns and builds audiences for LinkedIn ads. Runs only if you allow Marketing cookies. We and LinkedIn are jointly responsible for collecting this data on our website; LinkedIn is solely responsible for what it does with the data afterwards. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs) — aggregate traffic statistics, such as page views and referrers. It does not use cookies and runs for every visitor. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time (see Your rights), and content blockers also stop it.

These services are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which also shows the cookie banner. The banner's script is delivered from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives your IP address in order to send it.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time in . A link to cookie settings is also in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

For details on how these providers handle data, see Google's Privacy Policy, LinkedIn's Privacy Policy, Ahrefs' Privacy Policy, and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Only the strictly necessary cookie is set without your consent. The others are set only in the category you allow.

Cookie Provider Category Purpose Duration
cc_cookie teamglimpse.com Strictly necessary Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask on every page. 6 months
_ga, _ga_<id> Google Analytics Analytics Distinguishes visitors and sessions to produce usage statistics. Up to 2 years
LinkedIn cookies (such as li_sugr, bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory, li_fat_id) LinkedIn Marketing Measures the results of LinkedIn campaigns and builds audiences for LinkedIn ads. Up to 6 months (bcookie up to 1 year)

Third-party providers may change the names and lifetimes of their cookies. Your browser's settings show the cookies actually stored.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you select, and your message. The form sends them to us as an email; the website does not store them in a database. We use them only to answer your request, and we keep the email for as long as we need it to do so and to handle any follow-up. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Public demo

The demo page checks that you are a person (with Cloudflare Turnstile, above) before it shows the link to the demo instance. The demo instance contains only synthetic test data and uses one shared, read-only login, so we do not learn who you are when you use it. Like the website, it processes technical request data (such as your IP address and browser details) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

International transfers

Cloudflare, Google, LinkedIn, Ahrefs, and jsDelivr may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

  • Request logs: a few days.
  • Google Analytics data: at most 14 months.
  • Your cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask again.
  • Contact form emails: as long as needed to handle your request.
  • Third-party marketing data: as set out in the provider's own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have it corrected or deleted
  • restrict or object to its processing, including processing based on legitimate interest
  • receive it in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future
  • complain to a data protection supervisory authority

To exercise these rights, contact us as described below. For data held by Google, LinkedIn, Ahrefs, or Cloudflare, you can also contact those providers directly.

Children

The website and product are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or the services it uses change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
